There were signs of panic in the Syrian town of Ras al-Ayn on Wednesday, after Turkish forces launched an offensive into northern Syria.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan Wednesday announced the start of the operation, called "Peace Spring" and said it was aimed at eradicating "the threat of terror'' against Turkey.
